With all that has happened to Liverpool Football Club in the past few years, administration would be the hardest blow of all. As well as the deduction of 9 points, which would leave them on -3 points, the great talent at the club will also be thinking deeply about there futures. With players such as Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and Pepe Reina being linked with a move away from Anfield how long will the club be able to last in the harsh world of the Premier League!?
With co-owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks set to sell there shares in the club at the estimated asking price of £300 million it will be a victory for the two Americans. This will leave current Chairman Martin Broughton with the inevitability of administration, unless the high court decide to back the clubs sale.
So with most football pundits and experts ruling out Liverpool for even a top half finish, it looks like its going to be a pretty rough year ahead for the acclaimed 'Top four team'.
